Baptizing Feminism Documentary Team!

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
We’re preparing to launch our fundraising and grant writing to begin filming.  Independent documentaries don’t happen overnight. The process requires a great deal of research and development, and fundraising is often a lengthy process. We film as we raise funds until we have adequate footage to begin the editing process. In the meantime, we see the making of Baptizing Feminism  as just a part of ongoing ‘movement’.  Even before the film is complete, we’re working on creating adjunct awareness raising campaigns and building a strong community. Our goal is that by the time the film is finished, we’re partnering with teams of supporters in communities who can host screenings and panel discussions, and become ambassadors for ongoing outreach.

We have finally narrowed down our production team, and grateful we have a talented team on-board including multi-award-winning Cinematographer Dana Kupper, winner of the Sundance award for Excellence in Cinematography for Steven James’ ‘Stevie’. Dana also was key cinematographer on  Life Itself, a documentary about the life of film critic Roger Ebert. She’s also produced numerous docs for Independent Lens, Frontline, and other leading programs. Also on our team is our very talented Kenji Yamamoto as key edito! He is also along time friend who recently edited Radical Grace, a film about feminist nuns. They both have a long resume of accomplishments you can find on our production team page.

Be sure to sign up and follow our progress!
