Baptizing Feminism
As a Christian pastor who grew up in a conservative environment, and has served in evangelical churches,“Baptizing Feminism” is an urgent, timely and necessary exploration of the Christian feminist movement, courageously challenging the entrenched patriarchal norms within our religious communities on the rise. In an era where “traditional” patriarchy is trying to restore its hold on religion and politics, “Baptizing Feminism” shines a powerful light on the voices of silenced, faithful women who are reclaiming their God-given gifts, dignity, and equality. This film not only honors the rich history of feminist movements within Christianity but also ignites a renewed urgency for justice and equality in our churches and beyond. This film is a call to action.
-Josh Komo, Pastor
The culture that abuses women is being supported by weaponizing the Bible abusing patriarchal power. Using the Bible to disrespect, defile and degrade women is pure evil. I see remnants of this with abused women in the military we work with. We must continue to expose the truth and this ultimate abuse of power of women. Baptizing Feminism is doing just this: exposing toxic patriarchy in Christianity that harms women–and profiling those women who serve and catapult change by protecting women.

and Forensic Interviewer/Co-Chair of the Military Women’s Coalition
Knowing the history and success of these filmmakers I totally support this important film. How timely, as this great doc exposes the often harmful patriarchy networks of so-called Christian evangelical leaders. Simon and Kathy are not only talented filmmakers, but great marketers and social change makers. I highly recommend supporting and offering your generous donation to this new film as it goes into its final stages of editing As the President and Director of many international film festivals, this is a winner.

-Christy Kiki, Teaching Professor, Cedar Clinic Faculty Supervisor, Penn State University
Everyone should watch this film and call for an end to headship theology in complementarian churches in Church of England-it’s untrue to the gospel and unsafe.
-Women and the Church (WATCH)
DOUBLE WOW!!! Amazing!! What a powerful trailer and so accurate with what is going on even right now both in the political arena and evangelical networks. We can’t seem to get unshackled from the past. I have heard echoed so many time that women should not have control of their own bodies, have as many babies as possible ( especially white women) , endure, domestic violence, and submit to their husbands, no matter what is going on in the home. What Bible are they reading? God’s plan is for mutuality, love and forwarding the Good News, men and women in partnership. Change requires courage and action like of those the film will document — woman of faith before us blazing trails that we all must follow. It requires joining our faith and perseverance, with men and anyone else, who would dare support the human God given rights of all. Great job!!!
